Martha Stewart Documentary: How old was Martha Stewart when her career began?

According to Biography, Martha Stewart began working as a model when she was only 13 years old. She appeared in several fashion shows and television and print advertisements.

Later in her life, she founded Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and earned success in various other fields. Apart from writing many books, she was the publisher of Martha Stewart Living magazine. She even hosted two TV programs, Martha Stewart Living (1993 to 2004) and The Martha Stewart Show (2005 to 2012).

In 2020, Martha was interviewed by Artful Living Magazine, where she revealed her mantra for leading a good life. She stated, “Look for opportunities around you and start with your own expertise, whether it’s your vocation or avocation. If you’ve always loved art, channel that passion and knowledge into being a docent for a museum.”

She further stated, “Never before have so many people had so much knowledge and so much time to use it. Stick with it. Don’t give up. Defend your ideas, but be flexible. Success seldom comes in exactly the form you imagine it will.”

Martha also revealed what a day in her life looked like. She said, “There’s never a typical day, but I do wake up quite early. I have no shades on my windows, so I usually wake up with the sunrise, around 5 a.m. And I enjoy staying quite busy, whether in my office or on the farm. Those are the two consistent aspects of my days.”

She further stated that her role in Martha Stewart Center for Living in New York City was the highlight of her career. In 2004, she was convicted of the ImClone stock trading case and imprisoned for five months. After her release, people predicted the fall of her media empire. However, she only bounced back stronger.
